At Bathers Beach House you deal with one coordinator. Tell us the date, the time of the service and roughly how many people you expect, and we will take care of the room, the food and the drinks. On the day the space is set up before you arrive, and your coordinator is there throughout.
The Upstairs Function Room
The whole room and its two adjoining balconies are yours, with 180 degree views over the beach and out to the Indian Ocean. A private place for tributes, and somewhere to step outside for a quiet moment.

A more relaxed gathering, downstairs
Some send-offs call for sea air and bare feet. Book an area downstairs for your group, order share platters and stay as the sun goes down over the ocean. There is no venue hire for these areas.
Southern Alfresco
Couches and high bar tables at the entrance, reserved exclusively for your group.
Northern Alfresco
Picnic tables with umbrellas, seating 8 per table with room to stand and talk.
Licensed Beach Area
Tables directly on the sand, steps from the water. Portable speakers are permitted here.
The downstairs areas have no microphone. If you are planning tributes or speeches, the upstairs function room is the better choice.
What to expect on cost
Upstairs, you choose a standing or seated menu and either a beverage package or a bar tab. Venue hire and minimum spend depend on the day and your numbers, so the team quotes them once they know your date. Downstairs there is no venue hire: you order share platters for the group.

Prices are for the 2026/27 season and are guaranteed for 6 months from confirmation. A 15% surcharge applies on public holidays. Menus can be customised, and a children's menu is available.

For a private gathering with speeches, the upstairs function room is the right choice: the room and its two balconies are yours alone, with a PA system and microphone. For something more relaxed and open to the sea air, book an area downstairs with share platters. The Southern Alfresco is reserved exclusively for groups of up to 40 and the Northern Alfresco takes up to 100.

Bathers Beach House is at 47 Mews Road, Fremantle, on the edge of Bathers Beach and the edge of the Fremantle CBD. The venue is open every day except Christmas Day, from 11am. Send the time of the service and the team will suggest when to arrive.
